Eco Chic by Emily Mitchell

It is a style that is essentially fashion with a conscience.  Eco chic is really all about enjoying the benefits of design, sustainability and nature - to have a home and wardrobe full of eco-friendly style.

The materials that define the style are natural woods, felts, recycled glass, natural cotton and other cloths and wool. Materials have a matt or soft sheen that enhance the natural surface and natural beauty of the product.

The colours are naturally muted shades such as greens, blues and browns, inspired by pebbles, moss and tree bark, punctuated by bursts of vibrant colour and texture.

Aside from aesthetics, Eco Chic is all about fashion that is eco-friendly. That is, no workers in other countries are exploited to make products and they are made from all natural, organic materials (No nasty synthetic fibres that can’t be recycled).

While a lot of eco-friendly products may be more expensive than their supermarket or corporate clothing store counterparts, the added price pays for more than the easy conscience that you gain. The cost of an eco-friendly product pays for; quality, fair trade, recyclability and natural materials and processes along with effortless style such as the Cream Isabelle Dress from Enamore.co.uk.
